Kirker Cruise Choir to Norway
50 People whod never met before, came together on the Kirker Cruise to the Norwegian Fjords in May 2012, prepared, with the help of choirmaster, Christopher Monckton and Dame Josephine Barstow, the soprano, two complex choral pieces by Buxtehude and Purcell. The choir rehearsed for a week before performing at the third largest cathedral in Norway, Kristiansand Cathedral, Kirkegata. This short film documents the process and the thoughts and impressions of those who took part.
"This is fantastic - so upbeat and informative as well as inspirational. Its really excellent really skillfully edited and put together. Everyone at Kirker and friends outside is deeply impressed with your work"

A complete dvd including the chorale performances was produced by Wax-Media receiving this feedback from Choirmaster, Christopher Monckton:
"Thank you so much for the finished article. Its a lovely souvenir and quite a work of art on your part. I particularly like the way you cut between rehearsal and performance to stop it bogging down, especially in the solo passages where the soloist would otherwise be rather lost in the mass of the choir. The rising triplet passage from the Trotz solo accompanying the lingering view of the Cruel Sea outside is pure poetry, as are the interviews with Antonia and Susannah with the low light of the evening sun falling on them and the strains of the ships musicians playing in the background. Wonderful."
Choirmaster, Christopher Monckton
